Project Description:  This project consists of constructing a new air traffic control tower that addresses safety issues with the current facility and allowing for increased capability for improving the safety and efficiency of the Kissimmee Gateway Airport for future expansion of airport operations.

The City of Kissimmee will advertise for bids and apply for FAA construction funding in 2026. With the timeline for construction, FAA equipment installation, and certification, operations are projected to begin in 2028.

Funding Source: Shared between the Florida Aviation Administration (FAA), Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), and Airport
