School of Government

Our School of Government program is your exclusive opportunity to dive into the inner workings of local government, connect with city leaders, and learn how you can make an impact in our community. Whether you're an aspiring leader, a passionate community member, or someone looking to engage in local affairs, this program is designed for you!

Program Details

  • Duration: Nine weeks (Beginning the last week of March)
  • Schedule: Every Wednesday at 6 PM
  • Eligibility: Open to individuals who live, work, or own a business within Kissimmee city limits

Each week, participants will engage in hands-on activities, hear directly from City leaders, and gain insight into the roles and responsibilities of various City Departments, including:

  • City Manager's Office
  • Economic Development Department
  • Public Works & Engineering Department
  • Parks & Recreation Department
  • Kissimmee Gateway Airport
  • Kissimmee Police Department
  • Kissimmee Fire Department
  • Development Services Department

Additionally, you’ll meet representatives from key partner agencies, including:

  • Toho Water Authority
  • Kissimmee Utility Authority
