Economic Incentives

To qualify for economic incentives through the City of Kissimmee, a business must meet all three of the following criteria:

1. Industry Alignment
Your company must fall within one of the City’s target industry categories:

  • Aerospace (Aviation/Aeronautical)
  • Nano, Sensor, Clean, or Renewable Technologies
  • Manufacturing
  • Medical Specialties
  • Preparatory High School
  • Post-Secondary Educational Institutions

2. Job Creation
Your company must:

  • Create at least 10 net new full-time permanent jobs, or
  • If expanding, increase employment by at least 10% or by 10 new full-time jobs (whichever is greater)

3. Competitive Wages
The average annual wage for new jobs must be at least 115% of the Osceola County average wage.
(As of 2022, that threshold is $46,113.)

Adjusted Requirements (Minimum 5 Jobs)
If your project proposes fewer than 10 jobs, the average wage requirement increases proportionally. The minimum number of new jobs must be at least 5:

Jobs Created Minimum Average Wage
10 $50,338
9 $54,715
8 $60,186
7 $66,205
6 $72,826
5 $80,108
