Economic Incentives
To qualify for economic incentives through the City of Kissimmee, a business must meet all three of the following criteria:
1. Industry Alignment
Your company must fall within one of the City’s target industry categories:
- Aerospace (Aviation/Aeronautical)
- Nano, Sensor, Clean, or Renewable Technologies
- Manufacturing
- Medical Specialties
- Preparatory High School
- Post-Secondary Educational Institutions
2. Job Creation
Your company must:
- Create at least 10 net new full-time permanent jobs, or
- If expanding, increase employment by at least 10% or by 10 new full-time jobs (whichever is greater)
3. Competitive Wages
The average annual wage for new jobs must be at least 115% of the Osceola County average wage.
(As of 2022, that threshold is $46,113.)
Adjusted Requirements (Minimum 5 Jobs)
If your project proposes fewer than 10 jobs, the average wage requirement increases proportionally. The minimum number of new jobs must be at least 5:
