Do you need to work in a street, under a sidewalk, or in the grassy area next to a street?

The City of Kissimmee issues Right-of-Way Permits to ensure utility and telecommunications services are not interrupted, to maintain neighborhood appeal, and to protect all users of the right-of-way.

Minimum Liability Insurance

  • Single Injury: $100,000
  • Aggregate Personal Injury: $300,000
  • Property Damage: $500,000

  • If you already have a permit for a larger project, a Right-of-Way Permit may be covered. If you are unsure, email engineeringpermitting@kissimmee.gov for assistance.
  • Make sure you are doing work in the City of Kissimmee. Some rights-of-ways may be maintained by other jurisdictions such as the Florida Department of Transportation, Osceola County, etc.

Staff Review

Our Engineering staff will review your plans. Once the permit is approved you will receive an email with the approval,

Schedule Inspections

Make sure to schedule all inspections as instructed on your permit.

Please note that your start work notice inspection must be scheduled a minimum of 24 hours before work begins and work may not begin until this is approved. 

Begin Construction

Once your start work inspection is approved, construction may begin.

Final Inspection

Final inspection must be scheduled when the job is complete. Once this inspection is approved by city inspectors you will receive a completion on work certificate.

Depending on the type of work is described on your permit there may be some additional inspections manually added by City of Kissimmee to your permit at time of reviewal.
