Text My Gov Service

The City of Kissimmee Parks and Recreation Department has implemented the Text My Gov service. This messaging service is a simple, convenient way to receive information and report issues using text messaging. There is no app to download, no waiting, just send a text to get the information you need. This service is available 24/7.

Getting Started

Sign up to receive text message notifications from Kissimmee Parks and Rec Events. You may receive notification about events, closures, severe weather, emergencies and other important alerts.

  1. Text “KPREVENTS” to 91896. This option is for one-way communication. Signing up for this allows Our Events Division to inform you of important information and updates. 
  2. After sending the initial text you will receive a confirmation message.
  3. Reply “YES” to opt-in.

How to Opt-out:

Text “STOP” at any time to be removed from this service.

Text “Hi”, “Hello”, “Hey” to (407) 305-6727. This option is for two-way communication. Texting this number allows you to report issues as well as ask any question you may have.
