Community Redevelopment Agencies (CRA)
The City of Kissimmee has established two Community Redevelopment Agencies (CRAs): the Downtown Kissimmee CRA and the Vine Street CRA. These agencies are dedicated to revitalizing key areas of the city through strategic planning, targeted investments, and community engagement.
The Downtown Kissimmee CRA (DKCRA) encompasses a blend of commercial, governmental, and residential spaces. This district is characterized by its historic charm and vibrant community life. The DKCRA focuses on enhancing the area's unique identity, supporting local businesses, and preserving its cultural heritage.
The Vine Street CRA (VSCRA) spans nearly 5 miles from Denn John Lane to Bass Road and serves as a hub for retail, dining, and personal services. The VSCRA aims to improve infrastructure, attract new businesses, and create a welcoming environment for both residents and visitors.
Both CRAs offer a range of programs and incentives designed to stimulate economic growth, improve property values, and foster a sense of community pride. These initiatives are part of the city's broader commitment to sustainable development and quality of life for all residents.
